Our Adopted Charities

Every year SingSoc raises money for two wonderful charities through collections at concerts, society events and our fabulous Pub Carolling events in the city!

This year we are supporting Sheffield Music Hub and Roundabout.

Sheffield Music Hub believes that every child, regardless of race; gender; where they live; their levels of musical talent; parental income; whether they have special educational needs or disabilities; and whether they are looked-after children; deserve the very best music education.

The Music Hub's Musical Stars Programme aims to support children and young people for whom making music is the main focus of their world, their ‘life and soul’ so to speak, and without the extra support may not be able to reach their musical potential!

Roundabout, South Yorkshire's local youth housing charity, has been a guiding light for young individuals aged 16-25 facing homelessness since its inception in 1977. Initially starting with a modest emergency hostel, the organization has expanded its vision to eradicate youth homelessness in the region.

Supporting over 350 young people daily, Roundabout offers emergency accommodations, residential projects in Sheffield and Rotherham, and comprehensive training and empowerment programs to cultivate independent living skills. Through their preventive services and outreach initiatives like the Rapid Rehousing team, they strive to ensure that no young person falls through the cracks, advocating for a brighter future for all.
